WHY:
At 10:00 a.m., on Sunday, March 16th, Mayor Riordan, Chief Bratton and the Los Angeles Police Emerald Society Pipe Band will officially send off the more than 250 pre-registered participants.
A two-mile path will lead hikers into the Topanga State Park, then back to Gladstone's for a California style St. Patty's Day Beach Party which includes entertainment and lunch hosted by the world famous restaurant. Donations from the event will support LAPD youth programs and fund essential safety equipment not included in the City's budget.
