Street Closures - Traffic Advisory

What:    
President Barack Obama's Los Angeles Town Hall Meeting

When:             
Thursday, March 19, 2009
11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  

Where:         
Miguel Contreras Learning Complex
322 South Lucas Avenue
Los Angeles, Ca  90017

Why:        
Several media and private inquiries have been made to LAPD Media Relations Section with regard to street closures for the President's visit to Los Angeles Area on March 18 and 19, 2009.  

No significant delays are expected in Los Angeles for Wednesday March 18,2009.  

Intermittent delays should be expected in the Downtown Los Angeles area on Thursday, March 19, 2009.  The use of public transportation and carpools is strongly encouraged.

There will be significant delays in the area surrounding the Miguel Contreras Learning Complex at 322 South Lucas Avenue, (west of Downtown).  

All ticketing was fully accomplished through an online lottery.There will be no tickets issued at the door. 

Street Closures – Thursday, March 19, 2009, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

•All streets South of Beverly Blvd. between Witmer St. and Beaudry St.
•All streets East of Witmer St. between Beverly Blvd and 4th St
•All streets North of 4th St. between Witmer St. and the 110 Freeway
•All streets West of the 110 Freeway between 4th St. and Beverly Blvd.
