WHY:
Everyone is invited to LAPD’s Harbor Area fundraiser in support of the LAPD youth programs.  The LAPD Cadet Program is geared towards young adolescents from ages 14 through 20 ½.  The Cadet Program is a prevention and intervention program and it prepares the cadets to protect and serve our community.  The (D.A.P) Deputy Auxiliary Police program is similar to the Cadet Program, but it is geared towards even younger children. It is designed for children aged 9 through 13 years. The D.A.P. program allows children to participate in activities that instill a sense of community pride, self-discipline and leadership ability in an overall positive environment. This program is supervised by police officers and concerned parents.
