Suspect Sought In Hollywood Murder NR10162cj

Los Angeles:  The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Robbery Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the person(s) responsible for the shooting death of a woman in the Hollywood area.

At around 8:20 p.m., yesterday evening, LAPD Hollywood Area patrol officers responded to an unknown trouble call at the 5800 block of Lexington Avenue.  When the officers arrived they found 38-year-old Karine Hakobyan shot to death in the driver’s seat of her Honda CRV.

LAPD Hollywood Homicide detectives responded to the scene and their investigation revealed that Hakobyan was related to two other victims murdered in December 2008.  Robbery-Homicide detectives are now handling this investigation.  The motive for this murder is unknown.
