29-Year-Old Man Shot and Killed 34-Year-Old Female in Critical Condition NR11100gb

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), Criminal Gang and Homicide Division, Southeast Squad detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that will lead to the arrest of a suspect responsible for the shooting of a 29-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman on March 6, 2011 in South Los Angeles.

At about 11:40 p.m., a 29-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman were seated inside a parked vehicle in front of the 2200 block of East 105th Street. The male was seated in the front passenger seat and the female in the driver’s seat. An unknown gunman approached the victims from the sidewalk.The suspect fired multiple times inside the car striking both victims.  The suspect then left the scene in an unknown direction.

The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics rushed the female victim to a local hospital where she is listed in extremely critical condition.

There is no suspect description and the weapon remains outstanding. Detectives are trying to understand what prompted the shooting. The victim’s names have been withheld pending notification of family members.
