60-Year-Old Pedestrian Critically Injured in Hit-And-Run NR12102gb

Los Angeles: LAPD Central Traffic detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing information about a hit and run traffic collision that left one woman critically injured in South Los Angeles.

On Sunday, March 4, 2012, around 7:50 p.m., Doris Bridges, a resident of the Los Angeles, was standing on the east sidewalk of Central Avenue just south of 52nd Street when a vehicle veered off the roadway and collided with her.

After hitting the victim, the driver failed to stop to render aid and identify theme self as required by law. The driver fled the scene of the traffic collision northbound on Central Avenue in a gray 1997-2001 Toyota Tundra dual pick-up truck with possible damage to the right front-end.

Los Angeles Fire Department rescue personnel responded and transported Bridges to a local hospital where she was listed in critical but stable condition.
