31-Year-Old Man Shot Dead in Boyle Heights NR17080sr

Boyle Heights: The Los Angeles Police Department Hollenbeck Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting death of Jose Fernando Arellano, 31-year-old and are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would assist with the investigation.

On Monday, March 20, 2017, at approximately 7:00 a.m., officers responded to a shooting near the intersection of 8th Street and Fresno Street. When officers arrived, they found the victim down on the roadway next to his vehicle. The victim had sustained gunshot wounds.

The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the location and pronounced the victim dead at scene. The shooting does not appear to be gang-related and no arrest have been made. There is no further information at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
