"Homicide Detectives Seeking Witnesses to a Murder"

Sunland - On Wednesday, May 24, 2000 at 6:05 a.m., Foothill Area patrol officers responded to a possible murder investigation at the 8300 block of McGroarty Street in Sunland. The preliminary investigation indicated that the victim, a 32-year-old, male Hispanic resident was found dead at the scene, the victim of murder. The decedent's identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The cause of death and the motive is unknown.

The Los Angeles Police Department is seeking the assistance of the community and asking those witnesses to call 818-834-3115 or 818-834-3112. During the off hours, please call 818-756-8861.

Foothill Area Detectives, under the direction of Captain Ron Seban, Commanding Officer, are handling this investigation.
