Scholarship Awards Presentation

"Scholarship Awards Presentation "

 

Los Angeles -On Monday, May 21, 2001 at 9:30 a.m., the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation Board of Directors is presenting five scholarship awards. The event will take place in front of Parker Center, 150 North Los Angeles Street, Los Angeles. Chief of Police Bernard C. Parks will be a guest speaker at the ceremony.

Each selected student will be receiving $5,000 per year for four years, totaling $20,000 each. The five selected were among 55 applicants, all of whom are dependents of Los Angeles Police Department personnel. Qualifications for the award were based on academic achievement, community service, an essay, and an oral interview.
