Homicide Investigation In Newton

"Homicide Investigation in Newton"

 

Los Angeles - On Tuesday, May 29, 2001 at 2:05 a.m., Shonta Rogers, 23 years of age was in the 5400 Block of South Stauton Avenue. He was approached by unidentified suspect(s), who fired numerous rounds from an assault rifle. Rogers was struck several times in the upper torso and died at the scene.

The motive for the incident seems to be gang related and the suspect(s) and weapon remain outstanding.
