The 7th Annual Community-Police Advisory Summit

"The 7th Annual Community-Police Advisory Summit"

Eagle Rock - The Seventh Annual Community-Police Advisory Summit will be held Saturday, June 2, 2001, at Occidental College in Eagle Rock. The event theme is "Strengthening the Partnership 2001." The Summit will begin at 7:30 a.m. with registration, followed by opening ceremonies at 8:15 a.m. Attendees will be treated to three presentations, including problem-solving success stories shared by Hollywood and Harbor Areas, road rage and the Photo Red-Light Project by Valley Traffic Division, and a panel discussion on the role of C-PABs in the newly-created Neighborhood Councils.

The annual summit is a wonderful opportunity for C-PAB and Department members from throughout the City to come together, exchange ideas and share problem-solving strategies and successes.

The event will include a buffet lunch on the scenic Occidental College campus at noon, and will conclude at 1:30 p.m. There will also be exhibits and displays present throughout the morning. Questions about the C-PAB Summit may be directed to Sergeant Vic Dennis, Officer-In-Charge, Community Policing Unit, Management Services Division, at 213-847-4882.

This press release was prepared by the LAPD’s Media Relations Section, 213-485-3586.
