Homicide Investigation

" Homicide Investigation"

Los Angeles: On Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at approximately 11:15 p.m., Devonshire uniformed officers responded to a radio "Shots Fired" call in the area of Balboa Boulevard and San Jose Street. Responding officers searched the vicinity and located the body of victim lying in the alley to the rear of an apartment complex located in the 10500 block of Balboa Boulevard. The victim, later identified as Jacob Misrachi, 23 years of age who resided at the apartment building next to where his body was found, had been shot.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead from gunshot wound.

The preliminary investigation revealed a vehicle and at least one additional male were observed in the alley prior to the shooting.

The motive for this crime is under investigation. No suspect or suspects have been identified nor has anyone been arrested.

Devonshire Homicide Detectives R. Lozano and O. Martinez are conducting the investigation.
