Future Of Law Enforcement

Los Angeles: On May 18, 2002, the 3rd Annual "Explorer Challenge", will take place at the Los Angeles Police Academy's Elysian Park facility. The event will be held from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Thirty-four teams from throughout the United States, including a team from Hawaii, will be participating. Events to be judged will include building searches, tactical situations and physical fitness. Deputy Chief Michael Bostic will be conducting the opening ceremonies and also attending will be Captain Sharyn Buck, Commanding Officer of Juvenile Division.
