"Briefing on Homeland Security"

 

Who: LAPD Chief William Bratton, John Miller-Homeland Security,
Sheriff Lee Baca, Dave Stone-Transportation Security Administration and FBI representatives.

What: Homeland Security Briefing

When: March 3, 2003, from 7:30-10:00 a.m.

Where: The Hyatt Regency Hotel, Downtown Los Angeles
711 South Hope Street, Ballroom A/B/C, Lower Level

The Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS) in concert with the Los Angeles Department’s Homeland Security Bureau will be conducting a terrorism security briefing.

The topic will be: LAPD’s Homeland Security Bureau and the importance of building a strong alliance with the Security Industry.

Featured speakers will include LAPD Chief William Bratton and John Miller, Commander Officer of LAPD’s Homeland Security Bureau. Over 400 security industry executive expected to attend will be briefed by experts from the LAPD on such issues as Special Operations, suicide bombings, weapons of mass destruction and other HAZMAT issues that pertain to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
