Attempted Kidnapping in Westchester

Los Angeles: On Wednesday April 28, 2004, at about 3:15 p.m., a 13 year old male was riding his bicycle in the area of 77th Street and Sepulveda Boulevard when he was confronted by an adult male. The juvenile was on his way to a neighborhood school. The adult male, aged 24 to 27, was described as having a slender build and light brown hair. The adult male was driving a white van, and repeatedly told the juvenile to get into the van. The juvenile ignored the male and rode his bike into a school parking lot. The adult male then drove away. The word "Rooter" was seen on the side of the van.

A composite drawing of the suspect is available by fax or email.
