Motorcycle Ride for Youth and Crime Prevention

WHAT: 2nd Annual Charity Motorcycle Ride

WHEN: Sunday, May 16, 2004, Check in at 8:00 a.m. - Ride 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

WHERE: Elysian Park Academy, 1880 North Academy Drive, Los Angeles

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Central City Police Boosters are sponsoring a motorcycle ride to benefit the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Area youth and crime prevention programs. This tax-deductible event includes a 50-mile scenic ride with stops at the Glendale Harley Davidson dealership and various Los Angeles locations. The first 500 registered riders will receive a commemorative event pin.

The event will include a BBQ lunch, prize giveaways, celebrities, a silent auction, motorcycle vendors, information booths from community businesses and LAPD displays. Live entertainment will be provided by Blues recording artist Lightnin Willie and the Poorboys along with Rock Artists Phil’n the Blanks. The masters of ceremony for the event will be comedian Frazer Smith and KLOS radio celebrity Al Ramirez.
