Car To Car Shooting Results In Death

Los Angeles: On Saturday May 8, 2004 at 10:56 a.m., Foothill Patrol Officers responded to Nordhoff Street and Osborne Street to investigate a "Shots Fired" radio call. When the officers arrived they observed a vehicle had crashed into a wall on the south side of Osborne Street. Inside the vehicle the officers observed a male that appeared to be the victim of a gunshot wound. The victim has been identified as Yesi Flores Lopez, a 19 year old resident of Pacoima. He was transported to local area hospital where he died while receiving medical treatment.

The investigation has revealed that Lopez was the victim of a car to car shooting. The suspect vehicle is described only as a dark blue older model mini-van with a yellow sticker on the right rear bumper. The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, 35-40 years of age, and no further description is available.

Foothill Detectives are asking for assistance from the community. Anyone with information is asked to call Detectives Lenane or Freund at 818-834-3115. A 24 hour toll free number is available at 1-877-529-3855.
