Shooting Results In The Death Of Two Partygoers

Los Angeles: On Saturday, May 8, 2004, at about 11:55 p.m., Foothill Patrol Officers responded to an Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Shots Fired, radio call at 14684 Rex Street.

The preliminary investigation revealed a group of uninvited gang members entered a birthday party that was taking place. The gang members argued with some of the guests and shot two of them. Both victims were unarmed. The group of suspects fled the scene in three vehicles, described as a red 1998/ 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse, a black Honda Civic and a white Ford F150 truck. Two shooting victims were transported to a local hospital by fellow partygoers in a private vehicle. Both victims died during medical treatment.

The victims were identified as Antonio Vasquez, a 27-year-old resident of Panorama City and Hector Villarreal, a 23-year-old resident of Lakeview Terrace.

Foothill Detectives are asking for the community’s assistance in identifying the suspects associated with this crime.
