Reward Offered for Murder Suspects

Los Angeles: On March 9, 2004, at about 12:15 a.m., 20 year-old Garen Ketikyan was driving his black 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis on the 170 Freeway in North Hollywood. A white Ford Mustang drove next to the victim’s car near the Sherman Way exit. The passenger leaned out the window and fired several gunshots at the victim, killing him. The suspects continued north on the 170 freeway and merged onto the northbound Golden State Freeway.

Detectives have released a composite drawing of the passenger (shooter) suspect. This suspect is described as a male Caucasian 20-25 years old, bald with a muscular build. The suspects were driving a newer white Ford Mustang with low profile tires, chrome rims and Xenon headlights that give off a blue tint. The motive for the shooting is unknown. The suspects have not been identified and remain at large.

The City of Los Angeles is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of the persons responsible for this brutal crime.

Anyone with information is requested to contact North Hollywood Area Homicide Detectives at 818-623-4075. On weekends and during off-hours, call the 24-hour toll free number at the Detective Information Desk, at 1-877-LAWFULL (1-877-529-3855).
