Announcing the Multi Agency Cruiser Task Force

 

What:
Multi-Agency Sunset Boulevard Cruiser Task Force

When:
Beginning Friday, May 27, 2005 at 8:00 p.m.

Where:
7800 Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood.

Who:
LAPD's Hollywood Area and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department

Los Angeles: Beginning Friday, May 27, 2005 and continuing every Friday and Saturday night until September 3, 2005, officers from the Los Angeles Police Department's Hollywood Area will collaborate with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and the California Highway Patrol to focus on impacting cruising and gang activity on Sunset Boulevard.

The mission of the task force is to reduce fear, crime and to improve the quality of life for the business and residential communities bordering Sunset Boulevard. The strategy to accomplish the missing includes aggressive enforcement of all criminal and traffic laws to use crime prevention tactics and facilitation of the flow of traffic.

The task force will concentrate on Sunset Boulevard between La Brea Avenue and Havenhurst Drive .
