Seatbelt Safety Campaign

What:
New Conference to announce the kick off to the Seatbelt Safety Campaign.

When:

Who:
Councilwoman Jan Perry, Council District 9
Councilman Jose Huizar, Council District 14
Captain Ann Young, Commanding Officer Central Traffic Division (CTD)
Police Officer Don Inman, Central Traffic Division

Why:
The LAPD’s Central Traffic Division (CTD) will utilize a $20,000 grant to educate the public about the importance of wearing a seatbelt. Officers from (CTD) will also discuss enforcing traffic laws associated with the use of safety belts. Additionally, students from Roosevelt and Wilson High will participate in a challenge in support of this program.

The Roosevelt High school student body council will be present at this event.
