Why:
We regret to announce the death of Commander James D. Tatreau, who passed away Sunday, April 29, 2007, in Cerritos, California.

Commander Tatreau was born on July 19, 1948, in Long Beach, California. He was appointed to the Department on February 21, 1970. Commander Tatreau was last assigned to Detective Bureau.

Commander Tatreau is survived by his wife, retired Captain Tammy Tatreau; sons Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lieutenant Jim Tatreau, Jr. and Mesa Police Officer Scott Tatreau; daughters, Tiffany and Tatum; brothers, Chuck and Chris; sisters, Mary Francis, Jeanie, Dodie, Kathleen, and retired Sergeant Terri Tatreau; and two grandchildren.

The Media will be able to videotape during the funeral services at the church. Graveside services will be privite.
