Instructions from LAPD to media outlets covering march and rally

Scheduled assembly start time: 5:00 p.m.
Who:
LAPD will have designated Public Information Officers (PIOs) strategically positioned within the assembly and rally areas to facilitate communication between police personnel and media outlets. Uniformed PIOs shall wear black vests and Public Information Officer I.D. Tags. Spanish speaking PIOs will also be present.
Where:
Assembly Point
Berendo Street and Wilshire Boulevard

Rally Point
Park View and Wilshire Boulevard
[Four PIOs, two Spanish speakers]
Media Parking (Staging Area)
- Location 1: Berendo south of Wilshire, east side of street
- Location 2: Wilshire east of Park View, north side of street

Media Safe Zones
In the event an unlawful assembly is declared and a dispersal order is given, reporters and camera crews are encouraged to go to Media Safe Zones:
- Location 1: Northwest corner Wilshire Bouelvard and Berendo Street
- Location 2: Northeast corner of 6th and Lake Streets
