Motorcyclist Dies in Collision at Winnetka Intersection NR13141df

Los Angeles:  On Saturday, April 27, 2013, around 2:00 p.m., Michelle Prentiss, a 46-year-old San Francisco resident, was driving a 2009 Honda Civic 4-door travelling westbound on Devonshire St.  She was negotiating a left turn to southbound Winnetka Avenue when a man in his mid-twenties approached eastbound riding a 2005 Yamaha R-6.  The motorcycle collided with the Honda’s front right door, causing serious injury to the front right passenger, and fatal injuries to the motorcyclist.  The driver of the Honda and her two rear passengers were not injured.  The investigation is still ongoing.  The motorcyclist’s family has not yet been notified.
