Two Iowa Robbery Suspects Were Captured in Hollywood NR13170cj

Los Angeles:  LAPD/ FBI Fugitive Task Force arrested two Iowa bank robbery suspects Hollywood.

Earlier today at 10:30 a.m., the LAPD/ FBI Fugitive Task Force located two suspects responsible for a bank robbery that occurred in Stuart Iowa earlier this week.  The suspects, 19-year-old Hannah Reisinger and 28-year-old Wayne Palmer from Carlisle Pennsylvania, were apprehended near a hotel in the 6000 block of Franklin Avenue in LAPD’s Hollywood Area.

On May 20, 2013, around 3:45 p.m. Reisinger entered the bank and slipped a note to the teller demanding money. The teller complied with her demands and Reisinger left the bank and fled the scene in a getaway car driven by Palmer.

The task force received a tip from Stuart Police Department in Iowa that the suspects were making their way out to California driving a dark car with Pennsylvania plates.  Officers from the task force observed a man and a woman walking towards a car that matched the description.  LAPD Detective Anthony Verret explains. “We saw a car that matched the description and when the suspects walked up to the car we immediately took them into custody.”  Stuart PD was immediately notified of the arrest.  Stuart Police Chief Dave Reha said, “I simply want to thank the LAPD/FBI Task Fugitive Force for their help with this case.”

Reisinger was arrested for robbery and Palmer was arrested for possession of a firearm.  They are currently being held at LAPD Metropolitan Detention Center awaiting extradition back to Iowa next week.
