Reacting quickly and to protect the two injured riders, Commercial truck driver Dorian Cole stopped and positioned his rig to shelter the two downed riders from further harm. The responding California Highway Patrol officers determined that Mr. Cole's action was heroic and symbolic of how a citizen can rise to action in order to protect and save others in distress.
