37-year-old Man Killed While Walking Home NR16167lp

North Hills: The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating the person responsible for the shooting that claimed the life of a 37- year-old man.

On May 14, 2016, around 4:09 a.m., Los Angeles Police Department Mission Area Patrol officers responded to a radio call of "Shots Fired," at the 15500 block of Nordhoff Street in North Hills.

Officers located the victim on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound.

Los Angeles City Fire Department Paramedics responded, and transported the victim to a local area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Detectives responded to the crime scene and the investigation revealed that the victim and a witness were walking home from a local store when unknown suspects drove up in a dark colored 4 door vehicle. The suspects were driving eastbound on Nordhoff Street when they slowed nearly to a stop and the driver fired two shots toward the victim and witness. The suspects drove away from the scene.

The driver of the vehicle was described as a male wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.
