Mrs. Brenda Mares has been a volunteer for the city of Los Angeles for nearly 19 years. She decided to join Mission Station in 2006 and has been with us ever since. Since retiring in 2005 from the California Association of Hospitals where she worked as a Litigation Specialist, Brenda volunteers countless hours.
Brenda is a caring and dedicated individual. She not only cares about the actual volunteer work she does, but she cares about the personnel at Mission Station. She mainly assists the Community Relations Office, but has also assisted with several special events here at Mission Station. Brenda is not only a volunteer, but a part of the Mission Family.
In her day to day life, Brenda has two adorable granddaughters. When she's not at Mission Station, she is at home caring for her granddaughters while her daughter is at work. She is a wonderful grandmother who always has great stories to share about the girls.
Brenda's efforts are very much appreciated as well as needed. We are very proud to have her as the Volunteer of the first quarter 2009. |
