Officers of the Second Quarter 2006

Mission Area
Police Officers of the Quarter
Second Quarter 2006

POLICE OFFICER II ROBERT TAMATE, SERIAL 35410
POLICE OFFICER II DORIAN BROWN, SERIAL 35960

It is with extreme pride and pleasure that Mission Area announces the selection of Police Officer II Robert Tamate and Police Officer II Dorian Brown as Police Officers of Second Quarter 2006.  Officers Tamate and Brown are both ideal examples of officers who have a true commitment to their law enforcement career.  They are hard working, relentless, loyal officers who can be counted on to perform any mission.  They would really be considered the epitome of "The backbone of the Department."  Both Officers were assigned to Watch 3 patrol and represented their watch admirably.

Tamate and Brown are one the most successful partner teams assigned to Mission Patrol Division.  Their dedication is without question.  They are continuously identified as two of the top producers in most categories.  They are a well-rounded team that does not focus on one aspect of police work.  They are team players who are always there to assist their fellow officers with whatever incident they encounter.  One of their strongest asset is officer initiated activities.  They could be heard throughout the night on the radio initiating some kind of enforcement.  At times you can hear officers exclaim, "Everyone is getting stopped out there, Tamate and Brown are working today." But regardless of their high productivity their most impressive attribute is their positive attitude and willingness to perform any task with a smile.

Officer Tamate and Officer Brown, your dedication to Mission Area and the community you serve is greatly appreciated.  Your commitment to achieving the goals and objectives of the Department, the perpetuation of the Law Enforcement Code of Ethics and specifically your strong work ethic, make you worthy of this honor. It is for these reason and both of your were selected Police Officers of the Quarter for the First Quarter 2006.
