Michelle Lynn Mertens was located in good condition.


Los Angeles:
The family of Michelle Lynn Mertens and the Los Angeles Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit are asking for the public’s help in locating Mertens.

Mertens was last seen on Friday, August 16, 2013, around 4 p.m., at her residence in the 14000 block of Astoria Street, in the city of Los Angeles.  Mertens was last seen driving a dark green 1998 four door, Honda, Accord with a partial California license plate number 1HP1. She has not been seen or heard from since.  Mertens is ill and in need of her medication.  Her family is very concerned for her safety.

Mertens is described as a 54-year-old female White with brown hair, brown eyes.  She stands 5 feet 4 inch tall and weighs about 150 pounds.  At this time it’s unknown of clothing worn.

If you have seen or have any information regarding the whereabouts of Mertens please contact the Los Angeles Police Department, Missing Persons Unit, Detective Carlton at (213) 996-1800.  During non-business hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7.   Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477).  Tipsters may also contact Crime Stoppers by texting to phone number 274637 (C-R-I-M-E-S on most keypads) with a cell phone.  All text messages should begin with the letters “LAPD.” Tipsters may also go to LAPDOnline.org, click on "web tips" and follow the prompts.
