Sister Charged With Stabbing 17-Year-Old Brother NR09572ah

Los Angeles: A 17-year-old teen is dead after his older sister allegedly stabbed him in the chest on Saturday, December 5, at an apartment in Sylmar.

A patrol unit was called out to investigate a shooting in the 12100 block of San Fernando Road at around 8:40 P.M.  When the officers arrived at the scene, they found the teen lying on the floor inside of an apartment suffering from an apparent stab wound.  Paramedics rushed him to a local hospital where he passed away.  His sister, 20-year-old Amber Reed was arrested at the apartment and charged with murder.  She is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.

According to detectives, a heated argument over money erupted between the two siblings.  Reed became violent, grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed her brother in the chest.
