Summer 2014 Public Service Announcement Campaign “Buzzed Driving is Drunk Driving”

LAPD Deputy Chief Jorge A. Villegas
LAPD Captain Maureen Ryan, Valley Traffic Division
John Boal, Ad Council
Representatives from Valley Traffic Division
        
WHY:
This event is a collaboration between Operations-Valley Bureau and the Ad Council.  This campaign will continue through the summer until Labor Day.  Deputy Chief Villegas and representatives from Valley Traffic Division will speak on the dangers of drunk driving and answer questions from media in attendance.  There will also be a photo opportunity with a 51 foot banner, supporting the campaign, which will be displayed on a truck/trailer from Rush Hour National.
