WHAT: The media introduction to the first official deployment of LAPD Body Worn Cameras

WHO: LAPD Captain Todd Chamberlain, Commanding Officer Mission Area LAPD Captain Jeffrey Bert, Acting Commanding Officer, Media Relations

WHY: Mayor Eric Garcetti, the City of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Police Department are coordinating an extensive personal video program that will encompass the entire city police force, beginning with the LAPD’s Mission Area. On Monday, August 31, 2015, LAPD’s Mission Area officers will be the first division to receive training on the Body Worn Cameras to be deployed for police service within the Mission Division area.
