Shooting Victim Dies at Hospital NR18155ti

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Bureau Homicide detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect, or suspects, responsible for killing a man.

On May 31, 2018, around 11:00 a.m., a local area hospital in the San Fernando Valley telephonically contacted the Los Angeles Police Department Mission Area Station and informed them that a male Hispanic with a gunshot wound was dropped off at the emergency room by an unknown male. Victim was taken into surgery where he succumbed to his injuries several hours later.

Los Angeles Police Department Valley Bureau Homicide Detectives were notified and responded to the hospital where they assumed investigative responsibility. Detectives were advised by the treating doctor that the victim sustained a single gunshot wound which caused his demise. Detectives are currently attempting to locate the location where the shooting occurred and identify the unknown male who dropped the victim off at the hospital.

Victim has been identified as 57-year-old Jose Luis Ramirez who was a resident of the City of Pacoima.
