Murder in Sylmar NR18234dm

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department Valley Bureau Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the identification and arrest of a murder suspect.

On September 6, 2018, around 6:40 p.m., Mission Area patrol officers received a radio call of shots fired at San Fernando Road and Nurmi Street. Upon their arrival, officers located a victim laying on the ground, suffering from multiple gun shot wounds.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead at scene.

Preliminary investigation determined the victim was approached by a dark vehicle, when a suspect exited the passenger side, an argument ensued and shots were fired. The suspect re-entered the vehicle and fled. There is no suspect description.

The victim’s name is being withheld until next of kin has been notified.
