Why:
Founded shortly after World War II, the LAPD Reserve Corps boasts nearly 700 volunteer police officers that cumulatively donate a number of hours that save the City of Los Angeles several million dollars per year. Often called "Twice a Citizen," reserve officers are an integral part to making Los Angeles the safest big city in America.
