GLAD and LAPD Picnic

What:
LAPD and The Deaf and Hearing Community Picnic

When:
Saturday, June 3, 2006
11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Elysian Park
835 Academy Road
Los Angeles, CA 90012

Los Angeles Police Department, Senior Lead Officers
Los Angeles Police Department Smart Car
Los Angeles Police Department Motorcycle Officers
Los Angeles Fire Department
Greater Los Angeles Agency on Deafness, Inc
Los Angeles Avengers football players and cheerleaders

Why:
The picnic is an opportunity for deaf and hard of hearing individuals to dialogue and develop a healthy, friendly relationship with the LAPD officers.

The event is free and open to the public. Guests will enjoy a wide variety of entertainment and free food based on a first come first serve basis. There will be a scavenger hunt, moon bouncer, and a special performance by LAPD officers in American sign language.
