Man Involved in Fight Dies After Police Arrive Los Angeles: On Sunday, August 26, 2007 at around 6:10 p.m., an off duty Los Angeles County Police Officer saw a fight occurring at 9th Street and Figueroa and called 911. Officers arrived and saw the victim fighting with several citizens at the location. Officers placed several suspects and the victim into custody while they investigated. The victim began to show signs of distress and a rescue ambulance was immediately called to the location. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he later died. An autopsy will determine the cause of death.
