Man Shot and Killed Los Angeles: A 48-year-old Los Angeles man was fatally shot last night in the Jordan Downs housing project authorities said. Around 9:40 p.m., Chris Donnell Perkins was standing behind an apartment building in the 2040 block of 101 East Street. A gunman walked up to Perkins and brutally shot him multiple times. The suspect fled in an unidentified vehicle. Perkins was taken to a local hospital where he later died. The motive for the murder is undetermined Detectives have no suspect information and few leads. Police are asking for anyone with information to contact Operations-South Bureau Homicide Detective M.V Mahoney or Detective Kerri Potter at 213-485-4341.
