Man Killed in Gang Related Shooting
Los Angeles: A man was shot and killed on a sidewalk yesterday evening in South Los Angeles in what police said was a gang-related shooting.
The victim, 28-year-old Adam Blount of Los Angeles, was walking on the sidewalk in the 1600 block of West 36th Street, when two men confronted him. According to investigators, one of the men pulled out a handgun and opened fired on Blount. The victim collapsed on the sidewalk and the pair took off on foot.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where he later died.
Police have few leads and only described the suspects as two African American males.
