Memorial Ceremony to Honor LAPD Officers Who Made the Ultimate Sacrifice

Annual Police Week Memorial Ceremony

Los Angeles Police Academy in Elysian Park
(Athletic Field)
1880 North Academy Drive
Los Angeles, CA 90012

Motor officers will direct the media to park on the west side curb of Academy Road.

LAPD Command Staff
Department Employees
Family Members of Fallen Officers

Why:
The rank and file of the Los Angeles Police Department, the community and family members of fallen officers will join together to honor LAPD Officers killed in the line of duty. Included in the formal Memorial Ceremony will be the "Walk of Heroes" procession, a twenty-one rifle volley, the "missing man" formation helicopter fly-over and the symbolic sounds of bagpipers playing Amazing Grace and buglers playing Taps.
