29-Year-Old Woman Missing NR09297ne

Los Angeles: The family of a 29-year-old woman and the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) are requesting the public’s assistance in locating the woman, Jesscel Lumba Urquico, who has been missing since June 12, 2009.

Jesscel is described as a Filipino female, 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes and a mole on her left temple.  She was last seen wearing a green skirt with leggings and carrying a pink bag.  Jesscel has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and has not taken her medication with her.

Jesscel was last seen around 2 p.m. on June 12, 2009, at her care center ‘Mings Adult Residential Care’ in the 14200 block of Gager Street in Arleta.  Jesscel told staff members that she was leaving to go to the store.  Jesscel failed to return and there has been no contact with her since then.  Family members and Jesscel’s Conservator are concerned for Jesscel’s safety.

Anyone who has seen Jesscel or has information regarding her whereabouts, is urged to contact the Missing Persons Unit of the LAPD’s Detective Support and Vice Division at 213-485-5381.  After-hours and on weekends, calls may be directed to a 24-hour, toll-free number at 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (527-3247).  Callers may also text “Crimes” with a cell phone or log on to www.lapdonline.org and click on web tips.  When using a cell phone, all messages should begin with “LAPD.”  Tipsters may remain anonymous.
