Los Angeles City Employee under Investigation NR09395gb Los Angeles: In response to inquiries from the media, The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is confirming that it is conducting an investigation into an allegation of sexual assault that has been made against a Los Angeles City employee. Because of the serious nature of the allegation and for reasons of confidentiality, no names will be released. The Department will not be making any statements regarding this investigation. At the conclusion of the investigation the case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office for filing consideration. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the toll-free number at 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (527-3247) or by texting CRIMES (274637) and beginning the message with the letters LAPD. Tipsters may also submit information on the LAPD website: www.lapdonline.org. All tips may remain anonymous.
