On December 3, 2009, at 5:35 p.m., a man was traveling Northbound on Crenshaw Boulevard driving an Isuzu Rodeo when he struck two male teenagers who were walking Westbound across Crenshaw Boulevard at 50th Street.  The driver immediately pulled his car over to the side of the road and tried to render aid to the pedestrians.  Unfortunately, one of the young men died from his injuries at the scene of the accident.  The other was taken to a local hospital where he is being treated for a back and pelvis, with numerous abrasions to his face and hands.
