Man Commits Suicide on Train Tracks Los Angeles: A man was killed by a Metrolink train when he laid down on the tracks yesterday afternoon in Northridge. Detectives say the man laid down on his stomach in front of a west bound Metrolink train near Balboa and Roscoe Boulevards around 1:50 p.m. Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. The crew and passengers were not injured. The identity of the man is being withheld until a family member has been notified. Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact Valley Traffic Division Detectives William Bustos or Lisset Fuentes at 818-644-8067. During non-business hours or on weekends calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call Crimestoppers at 800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477).
