Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), Hollywood Area Captain Beatrice Girmala
Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), Chief Steve Ruda
LAFD CERT Unit, Captain Stacy Gerlich,
Cal Tech, John Bwarie
Los Angeles Animal Services, Captain Karen Knipcher-Cox.
Hollywood Community Relations Officers
Representatives from the City Council District Offices of Tom LaBonge,
Paul Koretz and Eric Gracetti

WHY:
Several of the public service entities within the City of Los Angeles have joined together to educate the community on being prepared in the event of a natural, or man made, disaster. Admission and parking will be free.  Over a dozen informational booths will be manned with participants providing information and educational materials, as well as demonstrations by First Responders, speaking on preparedness topics. The public will have an opportunity to see and explore several of the emergency service vehicles.
