Police Commissioner Alan Skobin is Nominated to Position as Fire Commissioner NR12141mjf
Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department received word that longtime Los Angeles Police Commissioner Alan Skobin has been nominated by the Mayor for a position as a Fire Commissioner for the Los Angeles City Fire Department.
“During his nine years of service as a police commissioner he helped guide the Department through difficult and challenging times. His courage, insight and leadership will be missed,” stated LAPD Chief Charlie Beck. “While the Department is losing a tremendous asset to its civilian oversight committee, we are happy to know Commissioner Skobin is staying with-in the City family.”
