LAPD Detectives provide information about LoJack give away to the Community NA13152nv What: News Conference to provide information regarding LoJack give away to victims of Grand Theft Auto. When: Thursday, September 12, 2013 9 a.m. Where: Northeast Area Community Police Station 3353 San Fernando Rd Los Angeles, CA 90065 Who: LAPD Captain III Jeffrey Bert LAPD Captain I Jennifer Thomas LAPD Detective III John Hovhanessian Representatives from LoJack, Ted Saraf Why: In an effort to reduce vehicle thefts Northeast Area Detectives along with representatives from LoJack are reaching out to the community to prevent auto-related crimes. Representatives from LoJack have partnered up with Northeast Detectives in locating stolen vehicles by giving away free LoJack systems to select victims of auto-theft related crimes. Several members of the community who were victims of Grand Theft Auto have been invited to install Free a LoJack System in their vehicles. Visuals: There will be a tracking demonstration for the media to showcase how tracking technology is one of the tools that our Department uses to combat auto theft.
