$50,000 Reward for Information on Hit and Run NR17101jh

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department West Traffic Division detectives are asking for the public's help in providing any information that would lead to the identification and arrest of the suspect involved in a hit and run collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian.

On Friday, March 17, 2017 around 9:25 p.m., the victim was walking eastbound Alden Drive in an unmarked crosswalk when she was struck by a dark colored sedan traveling southbound Doheny Drive. The victim sustained fatal injuries.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital where the victim later died.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without identifying him/herself and rendering aid to the victim.

There is no description of the suspect and the investigation is still ongoing.

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit and Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of $50,000 is available to community members who provide information leading to the offender's identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
