Burglar Activates Doorbell Camera NR18096rh

On May 10, 2018, around 3:00 p.m., the Anaheim Police Department arrested Brett Patrick Rogers without incident. He was arrested for numerous residential burglaries that were committed in multiple jurisdictions. Rogers was notorious for burglarizing homes while the residents were away attending funerals.

This was a prime example of multiple law enforcement agencies working together with the public to bring a serial burglar to justice.

After the original news release was issued on March 27, 2018, several calls came in regarding this suspect. With the help of the public, the suspect has been identified as Brett Patrick Rogers. Rogers is 44-years-old and has family in Riverside and Lake Elsinore.

Rogers is possibly staying at motels/hotels in the City of Orange and Huntington Beach. Based on this investigation Rogers may also be involved in burglaries in Glendale and Lakewood where those victims were also at funerals. LAPD Van Nuys Division Burglary Detectives have obtained a felony warrant for Rogers' arrest for the charge of residential burglary.

Van Nuys:
The Los Angeles Police Department's Van Nuys Burglary detectives are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a burglary suspect.

On March 11, 2018, around 2:10 p.m., the suspect entered a residence in the 4500 block of Nagle Avenue in the City of Los Angeles. The suspect was first seen parking his vehicle in the victim's driveway. He walked up to the residence front door, activating the doorbell camera. When there was no response, the suspect walked around the north side of the residence and entered the rear yard. The suspect attempted to open rear doors with no success.

The suspect walked to the north side garage door and kicked it open. The suspect entered the attached garage, activating the alarm. The suspect left the location without any property and drove away in his vehicle.

The victims were at a funeral at the time of the burglary.

The suspect is described as a male white, dirty blonde hair, 25-35 years old. He stands around 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall and weighs around 170-180 pounds. The suspect was wearing a black t-shirt, black jeans and black Nike tennis shoes.

The suspect vehicle is described as a white Mercedes 4 door with tinted windows, chrome rims, a sunroof and no front plate.

On March 7, 2018, the same suspect is seen committing a residential burglary in West Los Angeles and the victim was also at a funeral at the time of the burglary.
